I collaborated with musician and producer Mark David Ashworth (aka Delicates) to compose and record most of the score for my feature film, JADDOLAND. Additional scoring was provided by New York composer and musician Martin Crane.
CHANGING SEASON: ON THE MASUMOTO FAMILY FARM (2015)
Two of my compositions were used in the film Changing Season: On the Masumoto Family Farm. The film premiered on PBS in 2016 and chronicles a transitional year-in-the-life of famed farmer, slow food advocate, and sansei, David “Mas” Masumoto, and his compelling relationship with daughter Nikiko, who returns to the family farm with the intention of stepping into her father’s work boots.
YOU'RE LOOKING AT ME LIKE I LIVE HERE AND I DON'T (2012)
I worked with director Scott Kirschenbaum to craft a minimal experimental music score for feature-length documentary, "You're Looking at Me Like I Live Here And I Don't". The film premiered on PBS/Independent Lens in March 2012. A brief interview about my process was featured on the PBS blog here.
